Resolving workplace conflict:

Workplace conflicts can have a devastating effect on workplace productivity and culture: the more prolonged the conflict, the greater the damage. Our obligation to our clients in the employment law/workplace relations field is that we will do everything possible to resolve workplace conflicts as quickly as possible.

We have an unwavering commitment to conflict resolution in the broadest sense. That is, we are aware that one size does not fit all when it comes to resolving workplace conflicts. When confronting a workplace conflict our lawyers will always make a careful assessment of the nature of the conflict and the workplace environment in which the conflict arises. This initial assessment is crucial in determining the conflict resolution process that will be utilised.

Experience has led us to understand that there are circumstances in which workplace conflict arises for reasons that may need to be addressed within the workplace. This could include matters as straight-forward as improving communication between employees and managers. On the other hand, however, it could also include poor middle-management skills, negative workplace culture, clash of personalities, poor or inadequate goals and values and potentially the need for organisational change.

In addressing any specific workplace conflict our lawyers will always seek to discuss any related organisational issues with our clients. Dealing with workplace conflict without addressing its root cause is not part of the contract that we make with our clients. Our approach to employment law and workplace relations is a holistic approach – our task is to ensure that our clients are fully protected and fully informed in relation to all relevant matters.

Our approach to dealing with Employment Law and Workplace Relations Issues:

Our approach to assisting our clients can be summed up in three steps:

Step1 – Initial Consultation:

Our lawyers will meet with you either by phone, facetime, Teams or in-person according to your needs. Where necessary we will come to you. We will analyse the matter or matters you refer to and offer immediate advice and guidance where appropriate. When it is necessary to further analyse a matter we will provide you with fixed timelines to provide you with an analysis of the matters and a strategy for dealing with them.

Step 2 – Analysis of the issues:

The analysis of the matter or matters you refer to will be detailed and include, where appropriate, the strengths and weaknesses of your case. We will, where appropriate, address current law and ensure that our advice is thorough and thoughtful.

Step 3 – Legal and Workplace Strategies:

Our approach is to establish a close working relationship with our clients and ensure effective communication on all matters. Any legal strategy or associated workplace strategy will be carefully mapped out and discussed in detail with the client.
